BIRCWH Program - Application Checklist
In order to ensure consideration, all application
materials must be received by Monday, March 3, 2008. Receipt of all
application materials will be acknowledged by email confirmation.
The
Candidate’s NIH form Biographical Sketch
Research
Plan: Five (5) page maximum description of the candidate’s proposed
research that includes Specific Aims, Background and Experimental
Design. Literature Cited is not counted in the 5 page limit.
Career
development program: 1 page maximum
Mentors’ letters of commitment and support must accompany
each nomination. Available primary mentors are listed here, a secondary
mentor must be included to provide an interdisciplinary research experience.
A
letter of commitment from the Department Chair (or for fellows, division
chief’s letter can be accepted if co-signed by department chair)
is also requested to assure that the terms of the award will be met
by the candidate and his/her department.
